We are a “smart-energy ” company with its head office in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. We’re developing an online platform and app to provide better insight into consumer energy by means of our own hardware dongle and our data analytics technology. We collect data from IoT and Microservices to develop AI models on our Data Lake environment. Our goal is to translate real-time insights into actions. We do this with the ambition of at least 100,000 customers in the next year. For this we are looking for an addition to our dev team to help us build a solid foundation for our platform. You’re number 8 on the team.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team at Chargee. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in developing machine learning models and multi-dimensional algorithms that enable us to accurately predict energy consumption and generation patterns. Your work will directly impact our ability to provide homeowners with personalized energy solutions and contribute to the growth of our company. For this role we’re looking for a full-time data scientist that can travel to our HQ in Eindhoven 2-3 days a week.Dutch working permit required.
Responsibilities
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and analyse data requirements for energy prediction models.
– Develop, test, and optimise machine learning models to predict energy consumption and generation.
– Utilise advanced data analysis techniques to extract insights and patterns from large datasets.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and data science to drive innovation in our models.
– Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
What do we expect
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s or Ph.D. is a plus.
– At least 2-3 years experience working as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on machine learning and using big datasets.
– Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL. Experience with Javascript is a plus.
– Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., PySpark, Matplotlib, Pandas, Numpy).
– Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn).
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
– Dutch speaking and/or professional level English
Desired qualifications:
– Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (or Azure / Google Cloud)
– Experience working with Databricks (or Snowflake, Sagemaker, Jupyter or equal software)
– Experience working on different model types (e.g. time series, deep learning, classification, supervised learning, etc)
